Each year, the Gates Center for Leadership and Personal Growth organizes a campus-wide day of service where Lake Forest College students, faculty, staff, and alumni volunteer their Saturday to help out the community.
The Forester Day of Service is the College’s annual college-wide service program and the signature event for Lead the Way, one of the Forester Five values. We are happy to continue our tradition of serving the community of North Chicago through our partnership with North Chicago Community Partners.
The theme for the Forester Day of Service is “North Chicago University.” We are planning a series of activities designed to inspire and support young children in their pursuit of a college education and to show them what it’s like to be a college student. As a volunteer, you can be a mentor for an elementary school student or be part of the Production Team and assist with event logistics.
